The new Orsi Weir Varese Clarinet is the result of a close collaboration between Orsi and Weir in Canada and the Orsi Company in Italy.
he Orsi Varese boasts unique acoustical identities in 2 models, derived from extensive long-term testing in studio and professional playing environments. The focused beauty of the Varese sound, combined with a balanced and even resistance throughout the registers, is a revelation to both player and listener. It's characteristics provide an easy adaptation when the clarinetist is moving from another clarinet brand, and the Varese integrates seamlessly into any modern clarinet section.
he beautifully crafted and fitted keywork, created from Microfusion components, is very strong and ergonomically shaped. It comes silver-plated as standard. The stabilized African grenadilla wood used for Orsi clarinets has undergone years of aging using a highly effective, proprietary system developed by the Orsi Company over a history which dates back to 1836. This system limits dimensional changes and cracking of the wood is very much minimized. As well, the Varese can be ordered in cocobolo wood, offering a wonderful sounding alternative. A wide variety of setup options are available including use of cork, bladder, or Valentino pads. Each Varese clarinet is padded and adjusted to a professional standard direct from our factory, so you can expect long-term life from the original set-up. This allows the player to evaluate a new Varese clarinet for it's true attributes right from the start. And the Orsi Varese receives consistently positive evaluations!
